Download GBurn
Free desktop apps for Mac, Windows and Linux. The same program as the online version, working offline, with your designs on your own computer, and it drives GRBL lasers over USB. No account needed.
| Your computer | File |
|---|---|
| Mac (Apple silicon and Intel) | GBurn-0.1.0-macOS.dmg |
| Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit | GBurn-0.1.0-Windows-x64.zip |
| Linux x86-64 | GBurn-0.1.0-Linux-x86_64.tar.gz |
| Linux ARM64 (Raspberry Pi 4 and 5) | GBurn-0.1.0-Linux-aarch64.tar.gz |
First start
Mac: open the .dmg, drag GBurn to Applications, then right-click it and choose Open the first time. Windows: unzip and run gburn.exe; if SmartScreen warns, choose More info, then Run anyway. Linux: unpack the archive and run ./gburn.
Connecting a laser
Plug the laser in over USB, pick its port in the Laser panel and press Connect (GRBL, 115200 baud). If the controller starts in an alarm, press Home or Unlock. Frame traces the design with the beam off; only Start fires it. On Linux your user needs to be in the dialout group for the port.
